E5
Unit shows E5 and shuts down compressor shortly after starting; fan may continue to run.
Overcurrent / Overload Protection Trip
E6
Indoor unit displays E6 and will not run in cooling or heating; sometimes occurs after installation or service.
Communication Failure Between Indoor and Outdoor Units
E7
Indoor unit shows E7 and will not start the outdoor unit; sometimes fan runs but no cooling or heating.
Mode Conflict / Indoor-Outdoor Mismatch or Reversing Valve Control Fault
E8
Unit displays E8 and shuts down; may be accompanied by very low airflow or ice on the indoor coil.
Indoor Fan Motor Fault / Overload
E9
Display shows E9 and unit may stop or run erratically; sometimes associated with power fluctuations.
EEPROM / Memory Error on Control PCB
EC
Display shows EC and unit may run briefly then shut down; often associated with poor cooling.
Refrigerant Leak Detection / Low Pressure Protection
F0
Unit displays F0 and stops cooling; may restart after power cycle but fault returns.
Refrigerant System Low Charge / Protection
F1
Display shows F1 and unit may not respond to temperature changes correctly.
Indoor Ambient Sensor Out of Range (Alternate Code Set)
F2
Display shows F2 and unit may ice up or shut down unexpectedly.
Evaporator Coil Sensor Out of Range (Alternate Code Set)
F3
Display shows F3 and outdoor unit may not start or may shut down quickly.
Outdoor Ambient Sensor Out of Range (Alternate Code Set)
F4
Display shows F4 and unit may stop heating or cooling; often related to outdoor coil temperature.
Condenser Coil Sensor Out of Range (Alternate Code Set)
F5
Unit displays F5 and may not defrost properly in heating mode or may shut down.
Defrost Sensor / Outdoor Coil Sensor Fault
H1
Display shows H1 and unit does not blow warm air immediately in heating mode.
Preheating / Defrost or Anti-Cold Air Protection (Status Code)
H3
Unit displays H3 and shuts down heating or cooling; outdoor unit may be very hot.
Compressor Overload Protection / High Temperature Trip
H5
Display shows H5 and unit stops; may be associated with outdoor fan issues.

P0
Unit displays P0 and may not start compressor; fan may still operate.
DC Bus Voltage Protection / Inverter Power Supply Fault
P1
Display shows P1 and unit stops; often related to low or high AC line voltage.
Abnormal Input Voltage Protection
P2
Portable or window unit displays P2 and stops cooling; water may be heard inside the unit.
Full Condensate Tank / High Water Level Protection
P4
Unit displays P4 and may stop heating or cooling; often related to compressor discharge temperature.
Compressor Discharge Temperature Protection
Symptom
Air conditioner runs but does not cool the room effectively; air from vents is only slightly cool.
Reduced Cooling Capacity / Underperformance
Symptom
Breaker trips frequently when the air conditioner starts or runs.
Overcurrent / Short Circuit in AC Circuit
Symptom
Indoor unit blows air but there is a strong chemical or burning smell.
Electrical Overheating / Component Failure
Symptom
Indoor unit display works but buttons on the panel do not respond or respond intermittently.
Keypad / Control Panel Failure
Symptom
Outdoor unit fan does not run, but compressor is operating; outdoor unit becomes very hot.
Outdoor Fan Failure
Symptom
Outdoor unit runs but indoor fan does not blow air; indoor unit may be powered with lights on.
Indoor Blower Failure
Symptom
Remote control does not operate the air conditioner; unit can still be controlled from the panel.
Remote Control / IR Receiver Failure
Symptom
Unit does not turn on at all; no lights or display, no fan operation.
No Power / Dead Unit
Symptom
Unit emits a musty or moldy smell when it starts.
Biological Growth on Evaporator Coil and Drain Pan
Symptom
Unit frequently cycles on and off, running for only a few minutes at a time.
Short Cycling
Symptom
Unit leaks water inside the room from the front panel or around the grille.
Indoor Water Leakage
Symptom
Unit makes loud rattling or buzzing noises during operation.
