ADD
Display shows ADD or "Add Water" indicator; unit stops making ice and beeps intermittently.
Low Water Level Detected
E1
Ice maker will not start; display shows E1 shortly after power-on and unit beeps.
Ambient Temperature Sensor Failure
E2
Ice maker stops mid-cycle and displays E2; ice shovel or ice pusher arm is stuck in one position.
Ice Shovel / Motor Position Error
E3
Display shows E3 and the unit stops making ice; evaporator plate may be heavily frosted or not cold at all.
Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Defrost Sensor Error
E4
Unit displays E4 and stops; compressor may not run or runs briefly then shuts off.
Compressor Overload / High Temperature Protection
E5
Display shows E5; ice production stops; water may not be freezing properly.
Water Tank / Water Level Sensor Error
E6
E6 appears on the display; unit may fill with water but does not harvest ice correctly.
Ice Full Sensor / Infrared Beam Error
E7
Display shows E7; unit may not fill with water or may overfill the ice-making tray.
Water Inlet Valve / Flow Sensor Error
E8
E8 error appears; unit may shut down unexpectedly or not respond to button presses.
Main Control Board Communication / EEPROM Error
E9
Display shows E9; unit may run but produce very little or no ice; compressor may cycle abnormally.
Low Refrigerant / Sealed System Performance Error
ICE FULL
Display shows ICE FULL or "Full" indicator; unit stops making ice even though the basket is not full.
False Ice Bin Full Detection
Symptom
Buttons on the control panel do not respond or respond intermittently.
Keypad / User Interface Failure
Symptom
Display is dim, flickering, or segments are missing.
Display Module / Power Supply Issue
Symptom
Evaporator plate freezes into a solid block of ice; ice does not release properly.
Defrost / Harvest Control Failure
Symptom
High-pitched whine or rattling noise from the back of the ice maker during operation.
Condenser Fan or Compressor Vibration
Symptom
Ice cubes are cloudy, white, or contain particles.
Water Quality / Mineral Content Issue
Symptom
Ice cubes are very small, thin, or melt quickly in the bin.
Improper Freeze Time / Evaporator Temperature Control Issue
Symptom
Ice cubes stick together in large clumps in the bin.
Ice Clumping / Bin Temperature Issue
Symptom
Ice has a bad taste or odor (chemical, plastic, or musty).
Water Contamination / Internal Biofilm
Symptom
Ice maker does not power on at all; no lights or display, no sounds.
No Power / Dead Unit
Symptom
Ice maker leaks water onto the counter or floor.
External Water Leak
Symptom
Ice maker overflows ice; continues making ice even when bin is full.
Ice Full Detection Failure
Symptom
Ice maker powers on but does not start ice-making cycle; buttons respond but nothing happens.
Control Logic / Start Circuit Fault
Symptom
Ice maker runs but produces no ice; evaporator plate does not get cold.
Compressor or Sealed System Failure
Symptom
Ice maker runs but produces very little ice; cycles are slow and cubes are small or hollow.
Poor Cooling Performance / Partial Refrigerant Loss
Symptom
Ice maker runs continuously without cycling off, even when little or no ice is produced.
Runaway Cooling / Control Feedback Failure
Symptom
Ice maker vibrates excessively or moves on the countertop during operation.
Cabinet Vibration / Leveling Issue
Symptom
Ice tray overfills with water, causing spillage or oversized ice blocks.
Overfill / Water Level Control Fault
Symptom
Loud grinding or clicking noise during ice harvest; ice shovel movement is jerky.
Ice Shovel Gear or Motor Failure
Symptom
Unit frequently shuts off with no error code; must be restarted manually.
Overheat Protection / Thermal Cutout
Symptom
Unit trips household circuit breaker or GFCI when starting.
Electrical Short / Ground Fault
Symptom
Visible mold, slime, or discoloration inside the ice bin or water reservoir.
Microbial Contamination / Poor Sanitation
Symptom
Water collects inside the ice storage bin or under the evaporator instead of draining properly.
Internal Drainage / Sump Overflow
Symptom
Water does not fill the ice-making tray; unit runs but stays dry.
