Output Insulation Monitoring Fault
Symptom
Charger completely dead: no LEDs, no display, and no response when a vehicle is plugged in.
No Power to Charger / Internal Power Supply Failure
Symptom
Charger does not follow configured charging schedules (starts or stops at wrong times) even though time appears correct.
Scheduling / Timer Logic Fault
Symptom
Charger frequently trips the upstream RCD/RCBO when starting a charge, but no specific charger error code is shown.
Nuisance RCD Tripping on Inrush / Leakage
Symptom
Charger makes a loud clicking, buzzing, or humming noise during operation that is noticeably louder than when new.
Excessive Electrical Noise / Contactor or Coil Vibration
Symptom
Charger or nearby area emits a burning smell or visible smoke during or shortly after a charging session.
Overheating / Component Failure
Symptom
Charger output cable (on tethered models) shows visible cuts, abrasions, or flattened sections.
Damaged Tethered Charging Cable
Symptom
Charger powers on (LEDs lit) but will not start charging; vehicle shows ‘charging not possible’ with no specific error code on the charger.
General Start-Up / Authorisation Failure
Symptom
Charger randomly disconnects from Wi‑Fi or cloud services; remote control via app is unreliable, but local charging works.
Intermittent Network Connectivity
Symptom
Charger repeatedly restarts or reboots during a charging session; LEDs cycle as if powering up.
Unstable Internal Power / Brownout Reset
Symptom
Charger’s front LED indicators are not working or are very dim, but charging still functions.
LED Indicator Failure
Symptom
Charger’s front LED or display indicates ‘charging’ but the vehicle battery percentage does not increase or increases very slowly.
Low Output Current / Misreported Charging State
Symptom
Charger’s front panel buttons or touch controls do not respond, but LEDs are on and the charger may still charge via app or RFID.
User Interface / Keypad Failure
Symptom
Charger’s plastic housing is cracked, warped, or discoloured, but the unit still appears to function.
Enclosure Mechanical Damage / UV Degradation
Symptom
Charging starts but stops after a few minutes without any visible error code; vehicle may show ‘charging interrupted’.
Intermittent Charging Interruption
Symptom
