No LED on the charger or battery when plugged in; battery does not charge.
Charger Power Failure
GREEN_FLASH_FAST
Fast flashing green LED on the handle when trigger is pulled; motor does not run.
Battery Not Recognised or Communication Fault

RED_FLASH_1
Single slow red flash on the handle LED when trigger is pulled; motor does not start.
Battery Pack Undervoltage Protection
RED_FLASH_2
Two quick red flashes on the handle LED when trigger is pulled; motor attempts to start then stops immediately.
Battery Overcurrent or Internal Pack Fault
RED_FLASH_3
Three red flashes on the handle LED and no suction; unit stops within 1–2 seconds of starting.
Motor Overload or Motor Controller Protection
RED_FLASH_4
Four red flashes on the handle LED; vacuum will not start even with a charged battery.
Overtemperature Protection or Thermal Cut‑Out Tripped
Symptom
Battery drains very quickly (only a few minutes of runtime) even on low power.
Battery Capacity Loss
Symptom
Battery will not latch securely into the vacuum; it feels loose or falls out.
Battery Latch or Housing Damage
Symptom
Brush bar does not spin on carpet but spins freely by hand when vacuum is off.
Brush Drive Failure Under Load
Symptom
Dust and debris escape from joints or around the bin during use.
Air Leak at Bin or Seal Failure
Symptom
Trigger feels loose or does not spring back; vacuum may not start or stops intermittently.
Trigger Mechanism or Switch Failure
Symptom
Vacuum cuts out when using powered accessories (e.g., mini motorised tool) but works with standard tools.
Accessory Motor Overload or Connection Fault
Symptom
Vacuum emits a burning smell or hot plastic smell during or after use.
Overheating Motor or Brush Drive
Symptom
Vacuum has very weak suction but the motor sounds normal.
Airflow Restriction or Seal Leak
Symptom
Vacuum intermittently loses suction or power when the extension tube is twisted or moved.
Intermittent Electrical or Airflow Connection in Tube
Symptom
Vacuum leaves lines of debris behind and does not pick up well from carpets.
Poor Agitation or Blocked Nozzle
Symptom
Vacuum makes a rattling or grinding noise from the floor head when in use.
Brush Bar or Gearbox Damage
Symptom
Vacuum motor pulses up and down in speed repeatedly instead of running smoothly.
Motor Control or Airflow Regulation Issue
Symptom
Vacuum produces a musty or dusty smell when running.
Contaminated Filters or Bin
Symptom
Vacuum runs but makes a loud high‑pitched whine or screeching noise.
Motor Bearing Wear or Air Leak
Symptom
Vacuum runs but stops when tilted or when the floor head is raised off the floor.
Position or Safety Switch Activation
Symptom
Vacuum runs for only a few seconds then stops; can be restarted but cuts out repeatedly.
Thermal Cut‑Out Cycling
Symptom
Vacuum shuts off when bin is removed and does not restart properly when bin is refitted.
Bin Presence or Safety Interlock Fault
Symptom
Vacuum vibrates excessively or feels unstable in the hand during use.
Imbalanced Brush Bar or Debris Build‑Up
Symptom
Vacuum will not charge when docked in a Gtech charging stand or wall dock, but charges directly from the charger.
Docking Station or Stand Connection Fault
Symptom
Vacuum will not start at all; no lights, no sound, even with a charged battery.
No Power / Dead Unit
Symptom
Vacuum works normally on low power but cuts out or shows error lights when switched to max power.
