AL
AL or alarm icon flashing with beeping; temperature may be high or door may have been left open.
General Alarm Condition (High Temperature or Door Open)
E1
Freezer displays E1 and temperature is higher than setpoint; food feels soft or partially thawed.
Freezer Compartment Temperature Sensor (NTC) Fault
E10
E10 error; high temperature alarm active; compressor may run continuously without reaching set temperature.
High Temperature Alarm / Cooling Performance Fault
E2
Display shows E2 and freezer runs continuously or cycles erratically; temperature reading seems incorrect.
Fridge/ambient Temperature Sensor Fault (for combined fridge-freezer logic)
E3
E3 error on display; freezer may not defrost properly, heavy ice build-up on evaporator, airflow reduced.
Defrost Sensor / Evaporator NTC Fault
E4
E4 error displayed; freezer shows excessive frost or, in some models, no cooling with defrost heater constantly on.
Defrost System Failure (Heater or Thermal Fuse/Thermostat)
E5
E5 error; compressor may not start or may run continuously; temperature control erratic.
Compressor Start/Run Circuit or Relay Fault
E6
E6 displayed; alarm beeps; freezer may not cool properly or may shut down unexpectedly.
Main Control Board Communication / Internal Fault
E7
E7 error; display may be blank or flickering; buttons unresponsive or intermittent.
User Interface / Display Board Fault
E8
E8 error; freezer may be too warm or too cold; fan may run at incorrect speed.
Evaporator Fan Motor or Fan Feedback Fault
E9
E9 error; freezer temperature fluctuates; compressor may short-cycle.
Door Switch / Door Sensor Fault
F1
F1 code on display; freezer may not respond to temperature changes.
Freezer Compartment Sensor Short Circuit
F2
F2 code; interior light may stay on or off incorrectly; door alarm may behave erratically.
Door Switch Circuit Short or Open
F3
F3 code; freezer may show incorrect temperature or fail to maintain setpoint.
Ambient / Room Temperature Sensor Fault
F4
F4 code; heavy ice build-up and poor airflow; defrost cycle not operating correctly.
Defrost Thermostat / Thermal Fuse Open
F5
F5 code; compressor may not run; freezer remains warm.
Compressor Overload or Thermal Protector Trip
H1
H1 or HI displayed; high temperature alarm active; food starting to thaw.
High Temperature Condition Detected
LO
Display shows LO or a very low temperature; freezer may be over-freezing and running constantly.
Low Temperature / Thermostat Stuck Closed
Display shows dashes (---) instead of temperature; freezer may still run but control is limited.
Sensor Reading Out of Range / No Valid Temperature
Symptom
Condensation or sweating on the outside of the freezer cabinet or around the door seal.
Condensation Due to Humidity or Seal Issues
Symptom
Control panel buttons unresponsive; cannot change temperature or reset alarm, but display is lit.
Keypad / Button Failure
Symptom
Display flickers or goes blank intermittently while freezer continues to run.
Power Supply to Display / Loose Connection
Symptom
Freezer cools but never goes into automatic defrost; ice builds up behind rear panel on no-frost model.
Defrost Control Failure
Symptom
Freezer door difficult to open immediately after closing; strong suction effect.
Normal Pressure Equalization / Door Seal Vacuum
Symptom
Freezer has strong unpleasant or chemical smell inside.
Odor Contamination / Possible Refrigerant Leak
Symptom
Freezer interior heavily frosted; thick ice on shelves and walls; door difficult to close.
Excessive Frost Build-Up / Air Ingress
Symptom
Freezer interior light not working, but cooling is normal.
Interior Light Circuit Failure
Symptom
Freezer making loud buzzing or humming noise, louder than usual.
Compressor or Condenser Vibration Noise
Symptom
Freezer not cooling at all; interior light works but temperature remains at room temperature.
Compressor Not Running
Symptom
Freezer over-freezing; temperature much lower than set; ice forming on packaging and walls.
Thermostat / Temperature Control Failure
Symptom
Freezer runs but does not reach -18°C; food is soft or slowly thawing.
Reduced Cooling Capacity / Partial Refrigerant Loss
Symptom
Freezer temperature fluctuates widely; sometimes too warm, sometimes too cold.
Unstable Temperature Control
Symptom
Freezer trips the household circuit breaker or RCD when plugged in or when compressor starts.
Electrical Short or Earth Leakage
Symptom
Freezer vibrates excessively and may move slightly when compressor runs.
Cabinet Vibration / Installation Issue
Symptom
Freezer will not start at all; no lights, no display, completely dead.
No Power / Supply or Main Fuse Fault
Symptom
High-pitched whistling or whooshing noise from inside the cabinet.
Refrigerant Flow Noise / Airflow Noise
Symptom
Ice forming around the door frame or on the top edge of the freezer opening.
Door Seal Air Leak
Symptom
Rattling or clunking noise when compressor starts or stops.
Compressor Start/Stop Mechanical Noise
Symptom
Warm areas or uneven temperature inside the freezer; some sections much colder than others.
Airflow Distribution Problem
Symptom
Water pooling at the bottom of the freezer or on the floor in front of the unit.
Defrost Drain Blockage / Water Management Fault
