Main Power Input / Control Board No Power
E02
Display powers on but machine will not start extraction or pump when Start/Run button is pressed.
Start Circuit / Interlock Fault
E03
Display shows E03 and solution pump will not run; vacuum motors may still operate.
Solution Pump Overload / Open Circuit
E04
Heater will not turn on, display shows E04 or heater icon flashes and then shuts off.
Solution Heater Overheat / Open Circuit
E05
Display shows E05 and vacuum motors will not start, or they start briefly then shut down.
Vacuum Motor Overload / Overcurrent
E06
Display shows E06 and machine shuts down or will not start when connected to a generator or long extension cord.
Low Voltage / Supply Fault
E07
Display shows E07 and the chemical injection or metering system will not operate.
Chemical Pump / Dosing Fault
E08
Display shows E08 and machine stops heating; temperature reading may be erratic or show dashes.
Solution Temperature Sensor Fault
E09
Display shows E09 and machine will not run the solution pump; waste tank appears full even when empty.
Waste Tank Full Sensor / Float Switch Fault
E10
Display shows E10 and the solution pump cycles rapidly or will not maintain pressure.
Solution Pressure Sensor / Transducer Fault
E11
Display shows E11 and brush motor will not run on self-contained Prochem carpet extractor models with powered brushes.
Brush Motor Overload / Stall
E12
Display shows E12 and machine shuts down shortly after start, often when both heater and vacuum are on.
Overcurrent / Circuit Overload Protection
E13
Display shows E13 and the machine will not accept new settings or store temperature/pressure presets.
Control Memory / EEPROM Fault
E14
Display shows E14 and the machine indicates a communication error between the main board and the display/keypad.
Control Panel Communication Fault
E15
Display shows E15 and the machine will not allow the heater to turn on due to low solution flow.
Low Flow / Flow Switch Fault
E16
Display shows E16 and the machine indicates an internal over-temperature condition; unit may shut down completely.
Internal Electronics Overheat
E17
Display shows E17 and the machine will not allow operation due to detected ground fault or leakage.
Ground Fault / Earth Leakage Detection
Symptom
Brush on self-contained extractor does not rotate, but suction and solution spray work normally.
Brush Drive Failure
Symptom
Dirty water or foam leaks from the waste tank area or runs down the sides of the machine.
Waste Tank / Recovery System Leak
Symptom
Heated models: Solution overheats, producing steam at the wand or tripping thermal cutouts frequently.
Overheating Solution
Symptom
Heated models: Solution temperature is too low; water is only lukewarm despite heater being switched on.
Insufficient Heating
Symptom
Machine is unusually loud during operation; new grinding or rattling noises from pump or vacuum area.
Abnormal Mechanical Noise
Symptom
Machine leaks clean solution from underneath or around the base during operation or when parked with a full tank.
Solution System Leak
Symptom
Machine leaves streaks or uneven cleaning lines on carpet.
Uneven Spray / Extraction Pattern
Symptom
Machine produces excessive foam in the waste tank, causing frequent shutdowns or leaks into vacuum motors.
Foaming / Anti-Foam Control Issue
Symptom
Machine trips the building circuit breaker or blows fuses when turned on or when heater/vacuum is engaged.
Circuit Breaker Tripping / Short Circuit
Symptom
Machine vibrates excessively during operation, especially when vacuum motors are running.
Excessive Vibration
Symptom
Machine will not start; only a clicking sound is heard from inside when the switch is turned on.
Relay / Contactor Activation Without Motor Start
Symptom
No solution spraying from wand or floor tool even though pump is running and tank is full.
No Solution Flow / Spray Blockage
Symptom
On dual-cord models, one cord trips its breaker while the other does not.
Imbalanced Load Between Power Circuits
Symptom
Solution continues to drip or spray from the wand after releasing the trigger.
Solution Valve Not Closing Fully
Symptom
Solution tank level indicator (if fitted) shows empty when tank is full, or full when empty.
Solution Level Sensing Fault
Symptom
Strong burning smell or visible smoke from machine during use.
Overheating Electrical Component
Symptom
Unpleasant odor from machine exhaust or from carpets after cleaning.
Odor / Contamination Issue
Symptom
Vacuum suction is very weak at the wand; carpets remain wet after multiple passes.
Low Vacuum Performance
Symptom
Weak solution spray with poor pressure; pattern is uneven or dribbles from jets.
