AL
Freezer displays an alarm code (AL) or flashes an alarm icon with beeping; internal temperature is too high.
High Temperature Alarm Condition
dF
Freezer shows dF or a defrost-related code and may pause cooling during extended defrost cycles.
Extended Defrost Mode Indication
E1
Freezer displays E1 and temperature rises above set point, compressor runs intermittently or not at all.
Cabinet Temperature Sensor (NTC) Failure
E10
Freezer shows E10 and may not respond correctly to door openings; interior light or fan behavior may be abnormal.
Door Switch / Door Sensor Fault
E2
Freezer shows E2 and may over-freeze or not maintain stable temperature; display temperature may be inaccurate.
Evaporator Temperature Sensor (NTC) Failure
E3
Freezer displays E3 and may not defrost properly, leading to ice buildup on the evaporator and reduced cooling.
Defrost Sensor / Thermal Fuse Fault
E4
Freezer shows E4 and may not defrost; heavy frost accumulates on the evaporator and air ducts.
Defrost Heater Circuit Failure
E5
Freezer displays E5 and may not cool; compressor may not start or may start briefly and stop.
Compressor Start / Inverter Fault
E6
Freezer shows E6 and interior light and display may function, but cooling is erratic or absent.
Main Control Board Communication / Internal Fault
E7
Freezer displays E7 and may show incorrect ambient or room temperature, affecting operation modes.
Ambient Temperature Sensor Fault
E8
Freezer shows E8 and may run continuously or not reach set temperature; fan operation may be abnormal.
Evaporator Fan Motor Fault
E9
Freezer displays E9 and may show erratic or blank temperature readings; buttons may still respond.
Display / User Interface Communication Error
LO
Freezer display shows LO or a low temperature alarm; interior may be colder than set point.
Low Temperature Alarm / Overcooling
Symptom
Control panel buttons unresponsive or intermittent; display may still be lit.
User Interface Keypad Failure
Symptom
Freezer cycles on and off rapidly (short cycling), with frequent compressor starts.
Short Cycling – Control or Overload Issue
Symptom
Freezer display shows temperature but does not change even when internal conditions change.
Stuck or Unresponsive Temperature Sensing
Symptom
Freezer does not power on at all; no lights, no display, no sound.
No Power – Supply or Main Fuse Issue
Symptom
Freezer door difficult to open immediately after closing; a suction sound is heard.
Door Vacuum / Pressure Equalization
Symptom
Freezer door does not close properly or pops open after being shut.
Door Alignment / Hinge or Gasket Problem
Symptom
Freezer emits a strong chemical, plastic, or burning smell during operation.
Odor from Electrical or Plastic Components
Symptom
Freezer interior light not working, but cooling is normal.
Interior Light Circuit Failure
Symptom
Freezer interior surfaces or stored items appear wet or have condensation droplets.
Internal Condensation
Symptom
Freezer interior too cold; ice cream rock hard and items show freezer burn despite normal set temperature.
Overcooling – Thermostat / Sensor Misregulation
Symptom
Freezer makes a high-pitched whistling or whooshing noise, especially when the door is closed.
Airflow and Fan Noise
Symptom
Freezer makes loud humming or buzzing noise from the back, especially when compressor runs.
Compressor or Condenser Vibration Noise
Symptom
Freezer not cooling at all; interior remains at room temperature, compressor not running, display may be on.
No Cooling – Compressor Not Running
Symptom
Freezer produces loud knocking or banging noises during compressor start or stop.
Compressor Start/Stop Hydraulic Noise
Symptom
Freezer runs but does not reach set temperature; food is soft or partially thawed.
Insufficient Cooling – Long Run Time
Symptom
Freezer runs continuously without cycling off, even when internal temperature is very low.
Continuous Run – Control or Sensor Fault
Symptom
Freezer vibrates excessively or rattles against surrounding cabinetry or walls.
Excessive Vibration / Installation Issue
Symptom
Frost or ice buildup on the inner walls, ceiling, or around the door opening.
Excessive Frost Formation
Symptom
Ice buildup on the freezer floor or thick ice sheet under the bottom drawer.
Defrost Water Overflow / Drain Freeze
Symptom
Thick ice buildup on the rear interior panel and poor cooling in the rest of the freezer.
Automatic Defrost System Failure
Symptom
Unpleasant food or musty odor inside the freezer compartment.
Internal Odor Contamination
Symptom
Water pooling at the bottom of the freezer compartment or on the floor in front of the unit.
Defrost Drain Blockage
