ADD WATER
Display shows 'ADD WATER' or water indicator light is on; unit will not start or stops mid-cycle.
Low Water Condition / Water Level Detection Fault
CLEAN
Display shows 'CLEAN' or clean indicator light stays on; unit may still make ice but prompts for cleaning.
Maintenance Reminder / Scale Buildup Detection
E1
Unit powers on but does not make ice; display shows E1 shortly after startup.
Ambient Temperature Sensor Fault
E2
Ice maker starts but stops mid-cycle; display shows E2 and no ice is produced.
Water Level Sensor / Float Switch Fault
E3
Display shows E3 and the ice maker stops; ice tray may be stuck in one position.
Ice Tray Position Sensor / Motor Fault
E4
Unit powers on but quickly shows E4; compressor may not run or shuts off quickly.
Evaporator Temperature Sensor Fault
E5
Display shows E5; unit may start but shuts down before completing an ice cycle.
Compressor Overload / High Temperature Protection
E6
Display shows E6; unit may not start ice production or stops unexpectedly.
Internal Communication / Control Board Fault
H1
Display shows H1 or 'HI' and ice production stops; unit may feel very warm.
High Ambient Temperature / Overheat Protection
ICE FULL
Display shows 'ICE FULL' or ice full indicator light is on even when the ice basket is empty; unit will not make more ice.
Ice Bin Full Sensor / Infrared Beam Fault
L1
Display shows L1 or 'LO'; ice production is slow or stops.
Low Ambient Temperature / Sensor Out-of-Range
Symptom
Buttons on the control panel do not respond or respond intermittently.
Keypad / User Interface Failure
Symptom
Display is blank or segments are missing, but the unit still makes ice.
Display Module / LED Fault
Symptom
Display works and fans run, but the compressor cycles on and off rapidly (short cycling).
Compressor Short Cycling
Symptom
High-pitched squealing or rattling noise while the unit is running.
Fan or Compressor Vibration Noise
Symptom
Ice basket fills but ice melts quickly and the bin area feels warm.
Poor Ice Storage Cooling / Continuous Melt
Symptom
Ice cubes are very small, hollow, or melt quickly in the basket.
Insufficient Freeze Time / Poor Heat Transfer
Symptom
Ice cubes stick to the evaporator and do not drop into the basket; ice builds up on the evaporator.
Ice Release Failure / Overfreeze
Symptom
Ice has a bad taste or odor (plastic, chemical, or musty).
Contaminated Water Path / Odor Absorption
Symptom
Ice maker does not power on at all; no lights or display when plugged in.
No Power / Dead Control
Symptom
Ice maker runs but makes no ice; water does not flow onto the evaporator tray.
No Water Circulation / Pump Failure
Symptom
Ice maker runs but makes very little ice or ice production is extremely slow.
Reduced Cooling Capacity / Partial Refrigerant Loss
Symptom
Ice maker runs continuously and does not stop even when the basket is full.
Ice Level Detection Failure
Symptom
Ice maker vibrates excessively or moves on the countertop during operation.
Excessive Vibration
Symptom
Loud grinding, clicking, or knocking noise during ice making cycles.
Mechanical Drive Noise / Ice Tray or Fan Obstruction
Symptom
Unit displays normal operation but ice output stops after a few cycles until it is reset.
Thermal or Sensor Lockout
Symptom
Unit frequently shuts off mid-cycle without any error code.
Intermittent Power Loss / Overheat Protection
Symptom
Unit makes a buzzing or humming noise but does not start making ice.
Stalled Compressor or Pump
Symptom
Unit operates but occasionally emits a burning or hot plastic smell.
Overheating Component / Electrical Insulation Odor
Symptom
Unit powers on, fans run, but no ice is produced; evaporator does not get cold.
No Cooling / Compressor Not Running
Symptom
Unit trips the household circuit breaker or GFCI when turned on.
Electrical Short / Ground Fault
Symptom
Visible mold, slime, or discoloration inside the reservoir or on internal surfaces.
Microbial Contamination
Symptom
Water appears inside the ice storage bin or under the ice basket, causing ice to clump together.
Internal Drip / Poor Drainage
Symptom
Water leaks from the bottom or sides of the ice maker onto the counter or floor.
External Water Leak
Symptom
Water overflows the ice tray and spills into the bin or inside the cabinet.
Overfilling / Water Level Control Failure
