E01
Ice maker will not power on, display is blank or only backlight is on, no internal fan or compressor noise.
Main Control Board Power Supply Fault
E02
Ice maker powers on but compressor does not start, display may show E02 and unit does not cool or make ice.
Compressor Start Circuit Failure
E03
Ice maker runs but does not produce ice, display shows E03 indicating low refrigerant or sealed system issue.
Low Refrigerant Charge / Sealed System Fault
E04
Ice maker stops mid-cycle and displays E04, ice plate or evaporator heavily frosted, ice harvest does not complete.
Evaporator Defrost / Harvest Sensor Fault
E05
Display shows E05 and the water fill does not start, no water entering the ice maker reservoir.
Water Inlet Valve Failure
E06
E06 displayed, ice maker stops and drains water repeatedly, cannot complete freeze cycle.
Water Level Sensor / Float Switch Error
E07
E07 error, ice maker fan does not run, poor cooling around evaporator, unit overheats and stops.
Evaporator Fan Motor Failure
E08
E08 displayed, condenser fan not running, cabinet very hot at the back, ice production very slow or stopped.
Condenser Fan Motor Failure
E09
E09 error, ice cubes are very small or hollow, unit aborts cycle due to low water flow detection.
Insufficient Water Supply / Flow Sensor Error
E10
E10 displayed, ice bin full light stays on even when bin is empty, unit will not start a new ice cycle.
Ice Bin Full Sensor Fault
E11
E11 error, ice maker stops and drains water, control panel may indicate high temperature in ice compartment.
Cabinet Temperature Sensor Fault
E12
E12 displayed, ice maker stops during harvest, ice tray or plate does not rotate or tilt to release ice.
Ice Harvest Motor / Drive Fault
E13
E13 error, internal drain pump runs continuously or fails to start when draining melt water.
Drain Pump / Drain Level Sensor Fault
E14
E14 displayed, control panel unresponsive or buttons do not register presses.
User Interface / Keypad Communication Error
E15
E15 error, internal safety thermostat tripped, unit shuts down to protect from overheating.
High Temperature Safety Cut-Out Activation
E16
E16 displayed, internal memory or configuration error, unit may not start cycles or settings are lost.
Control Board EEPROM / Configuration Fault
E17
E17 error, ice thickness inconsistent, cubes sometimes too thick or too thin despite normal water supply.
Ice Thickness Sensor Calibration Fault
E18
E18 displayed, internal leak tray or base pan full of water, leak sensor triggered.
Internal Water Leak Detected
E19
E19 error, compressor starts briefly then shuts off, repeated attempts, possible overcurrent detection.
Compressor Overcurrent / Locked Rotor
E20
E20 displayed, internal communication error between main control board and sensor module.
Internal Communication Bus Fault
Symptom
Control buttons are hard to press or stick, sometimes causing unintended selections.
Worn or Contaminated Keypad
Symptom
Ice cubes appear cloudy or white instead of clear.
Air Entrapment / Mineral Content in Ice
Symptom
Ice cubes have a bad taste or odor, even though the ice maker is functioning normally.
Contaminated Water Path / Odor Transfer
Symptom
Ice maker cabinet or door (if fitted) sweats or forms condensation on the exterior surfaces.
Condensation / Insulation or Gasket Issue
Symptom
Ice maker cycles water but ice does not release from the evaporator plate, forming a solid block.
Harvest Assist / Defrost Failure
Symptom
Ice maker display is dim, flickering, or segments are missing, but unit still makes ice.
Display / LED Module Degradation
Symptom
Ice maker does not produce any ice, but powers on and appears to run normally (no error code displayed).
No Ice Production Without Error Code
Symptom
Ice maker emits a burning smell or hot plastic odor during operation.
Overheating Electrical Component
Symptom
Ice maker interior or ice bin has visible mold, slime, or heavy scale deposits.
Lack of Sanitation / Heavy Scale Buildup
Symptom
Ice maker is very noisy during operation, with rattling, buzzing, or grinding sounds.
Mechanical Noise / Vibration Fault
Symptom
Ice maker produces ice, but cubes are oversized, fused together, or jam in the bin.
Overfreezing / Excessive Ice Thickness
Symptom
Ice maker produces ice, but cubes are very small, thin, or hollow.
Insufficient Water Fill / Thin Ice Production
Symptom
Ice maker runs continuously without cycling off, ice bin overfills or ice becomes very hard and frosted.
Defective Bin Full Control / Continuous Run
Symptom
Ice maker starts a cycle but shuts off after a few minutes without making ice, no error code shown.
Thermal Protection / Power Interruption Issue
Symptom
Ice maker will not start at all, but interior light (if fitted) works and display is on.
Control Lockout / Bin Full Logic Fault
Symptom
Water leaking from the front or bottom of the Zanussi ice maker onto the floor.
External Water Leak
Symptom
Water pooling inside the ice bin or under the evaporator, ice appears wet and partially melted.
Poor Drainage / Meltwater Management Fault
