E01
Pump will not start, control panel beeps once and displays E01 immediately after pressing START.
Supply Undervoltage / Incorrect Input Voltage
E02
Pump attempts to start, hums briefly, then stops and displays E02 on the Emaux control panel.
Overcurrent / Locked Rotor Protection
E03
Emaux variable-speed pump stops during operation and shows E03, often after running for several minutes.
Overheating / Thermal Protection Trip
E04
Pump display shows E04 and the motor does not run, often after a power surge or lightning event.
Control PCB Fault / Internal Electronics Error
E05
Pump starts then quickly stops with E05 displayed; sometimes accompanied by a clicking sound from the control box.
Phase Loss / Incorrect Phase Detection (for 3‑phase Emaux pumps with inverter drives)
E06
Emaux variable-speed pump shows E06 and will not start; sometimes occurs after wiring changes or new installation.
Incorrect Wiring / Polarity Error
E07
Pump display shows E07 and the motor stops; may occur randomly during operation.
Ground Fault / Earth Leakage Detected
E08
Emaux pump with digital controller shows E08 and runs only at a reduced speed or not at all.
Speed Sensor / Feedback Error (for variable-speed models)
E09
Pump display shows E09 and the unit will not respond to start commands.
Internal Memory / Parameter Error
E10
Pump stops and shows E10; water flow from the return jets is weak or absent.
Low Flow / Dry Run Protection
E11
Emaux pump intermittently stops with E11, especially when external automation is controlling it.
External Control Signal Error
E12
Pump display shows E12 and the motor will not start; may occur after a lightning storm or grid disturbance.
Overvoltage Protection Trip
E13
Pump shows E13 and stops; may be accompanied by unusual motor noise.
Motor Overload / Excessive Torque
E14
Emaux pump display shows E14 and the keypad does not respond properly.
Keypad / User Interface Error
E15
Pump shows E15 and will not start; often associated with incorrect time or schedule settings.
Scheduling / Timer Configuration Error
Symptom
Pump emits a loud cavitation noise (like gravel or crackling) and the pump basket shows swirling air bubbles.
Cavitation Due to Suction Restriction or High Lift
Symptom
Pump housing or motor shows visible cracks, corrosion, or UV damage; performance may be affected or leaks present.
Structural Damage / Housing Degradation
Symptom
Pump hums loudly when switched on but the motor shaft does not turn and no water is circulated.
Stalled Motor / Failed Start Circuit
Symptom
Pump is unusually quiet but water flow is much lower than expected; motor speed seems reduced on a variable-speed Emaux pump.
Incorrect Speed Setting / Programming Issue
Symptom
Pump is very noisy, producing a high-pitched whine or grinding sound from the motor end.
Worn Motor Bearings
Symptom
Pump makes a loud rattling or grinding noise from the wet end, especially at startup.
Loose or Damaged Impeller / Foreign Object in Volute
Symptom
Pump runs but filter pressure is much higher than normal and return flow to the pool is reduced.
High System Backpressure
Symptom
Pump runs but there is a noticeable metallic rattling from inside the motor, especially when starting or stopping.
Loose Internal Motor Components / Fan Damage
Symptom
Pump runs but there is a persistent electrical buzzing or arcing sound from the control box or terminal area.
Loose Electrical Connection / Arcing
Symptom
Pump runs but there is a strong burning smell from the motor area, sometimes with light smoke.
Overheating Motor Windings / Electrical Burn
Symptom
Pump runs but there is no water flow; pump basket does not fill with water and remains mostly full of air.
Loss of Prime / Suction Air Leak
Symptom
Pump runs but water flow is weak; pressure at the Emaux filter gauge is lower than normal and suction at skimmer is poor.
Restricted Suction / Partially Blocked Impeller
Symptom
Pump runs for a short time then stops; motor housing is very hot to the touch, but there is no digital error display (on non-digital models).
Thermal Overload Trip (Manual Reset Type)
Symptom
Pump starts and stops repeatedly in short cycles (short cycling) without user input.
Unstable Power or Control Signal
Symptom
Pump trips the circuit breaker or RCD/GFCI immediately or within a few seconds of starting.
Electrical Short or Ground Fault
Symptom
Pump vibrates excessively, causing the base and connected pipework to shake.
Imbalance / Misalignment
Symptom
Pump will not start at all; no humming, no display, and no indicator lights on the Emaux control panel.
No Power / Dead Pump
Symptom
Water drips or sprays from the clear pump lid area when the pump is running.
Leaking Pump Lid / Strainer Cover
Symptom
Water is leaking steadily from the joint between the pump housing and the motor, directly under the seal plate.
Failed Mechanical Shaft Seal
Symptom
Water leaking from around the pump unions or threaded connections on the suction or discharge ports.
Leaking Unions / Threaded Fittings
